We are all in this together

Thursday, October 26, 2006

I was reading The Onion this morning and I came across this article. I thought it was just hilarious. It seemed appropriate to our blog, and so here it is: (to read the entire article - click on the banner, it's a link)

....So sorry to do this, but this project has been moved and can be found in its new home Praying For Prosperity at the new and improved Prosperity Project hosted at shirleytwofeathers.com. And can be found in its entirety here: We're All In This Together

I am still working on tweaking our blog, trying to figure out how to make it easy to go back and view the first posts in our project.

Looks like I am going to have to actually learn html... bleah..

Anyway, I am now archiving the site daily, and hopefully I will soon figure out how to display the title of the post instead of the date.

And I am already thinking ahead to how I would like to organize it when we start on our next project.

Ideas and input as to content etc are always appreciated.

I prayed yesterday morning for (in addition to prosperity) success and the energy and enthusiasm to act on the ideas I am having.

This seemed to have a galvanizing effect on me because, as I posted yesterday, I opened an etsy shop, and put 3 paintings up for auction on eBay.

The etsy shop has been really rewarding because I have already had 13 people looking at the stuff in my shop, and 2 people listed me as their favorite already. And these are total strangers.. so that is really cool.

I am very hopeful that it will actually work out to be something that will bring me a steady little flow of income.

Today, I had the idea of a mandala madness blog. So I snagged that name and am going to work on it in my spare time (ha ha) all next week. The idea there is to upload a mandala every day or two, and along with it some bit of inspirational poetry, or a quote, or something uplifting.

I am also going to check to see if I can affiliate that blog with cafe press .. and run a cafe press ad.. for mandala t-shirts.. etc..

Anyway.. I am not only filled with ideas, I am committed to taking action on them.. Probably there won't be time for a winter depression this year. LOL. When I start to feel funky, I'll just work on the middle of the night art stuff..

So. That's my current experience. How are you guys all doing?

Oh, and another thing. I subscribed to this blog, and it shows up on my home page which is fun. And I just wanted to say that it is easy to subscribe to.. and free.. and you can get the prosperity project delivered direct to your email inbox if you want to.

Well.. I love you guys.. and I hope you are all doing better today than yesterday.. or if not.. then better tomorrow than today.

Saskia has suggested that I put a background (very pale) of 100 dollar bills in the background. So, if I can figure out how to do it, we might see a face lift here. Any other ideas?

Okay day twelve no outward signs of prosperity. Still no connection with the prayer people at Unity. Not yet feeling discouraged but definitely feeling kinda blah about things.
