Our Next Project

Wednesday, October 24, 2007

It has been suggested that for our next project, we do "The Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire" by Deepak Chopra.

According to this book, not only are everyday coincidences meaningful, they actually provide us with glimpses of the field of infinite possibilities that lies at the heart of all things. By gaining access to this wellspring of creation, we can literally rewrite our destinies in any way we wish.

From this realm of pure potential we are connected to everything that exists and everything that is yet to come. “Coincidences” can then be recognized as containing precious clues about particular facets of our lives that require our attention. As you become more aware of coincidences and their meanings, you begin to connect more and more with the underlying field of infinite possibilities. This is when the magic begins. This is when you achieve the spontaneous fulfillment of desire.

At a time when world events may leave us feeling especially insignificant and vulnerable, Deepak Chopra restores our awareness of the awesome powers within us. And through specific principles and exercises he provides the tools with which to create the magnificent, miraculous life that is our birthright.

So, that's the sales pitch by the publisher. I have been reading this book, and I think it's worth trying his techniques. He is, after all, a millionaire, which clearly demonstrates that Deepak Chopra knows how to create affluence in his own life. And if this is how he accomplished it, I'm thinking it just might work for us as well.

The other suggestion that has been made is to take this project all the way through to the first of the year. Maybe a good day to end it would be Christmas Day. What do you guys think? The holidays are always so busy. It might be nice to just stick with something familiar and comfortable as we navigate the wear and tear of Thanksgiving and Christmas.

What do you guys think? Shall we try it? Is anyone vehemently opposed? If we are all agreed, I'd like to get it started on Sunday morning. This will give me time to finish wrapping up The Prosperity Game, organize the information, and post it at Zaadz and a few other places.

I won't really have time to participate until my class is over the first week of December, so I would really like to keep it going until Christmas so I'll have a chance to jump in when I have time.
