We shall overcome!

Thursday, October 04, 2007

In view of yesterday's post, I did a search for "overcoming obstacles" and came up with quite a few relevant posts. If you are feeling obstructed, it might be worthwhile to read through some of them again.

I also posted a story about "Strikes Two Woman" on my personal blog, shirleytwofeathers. I found it very inspiring, and I want very much to be her! So, go read it, and then come back here and sing this song:

"They are whipped, my problems are whipped. They are running away, my problems are running away. Look at them run! They are running away! Hey-a-hey"

When you get done singing, sit down and make a deposit of $8,112,000.00 and then write some checks. Even if it's just one check... just write it! Write one to yourself - appreciation for services rendered! Unclench your teeth. Relax your mouth. Open your hands. Breathe in. Breathe out. Yes!

So today, I have some positive things to report. My cell phone crapped out, and not only did I get a generous offer from Cindy that I could use one of her prepaid cell phones until I got it figured out... I actually managed to get a brand new cell phone for only $18 activation fee, and $2.39 tax. The phone itself was only $30 and came with a $30 mail in rebate. So, how cool is that?

I did lose all my phone numbers - but - oh well...

And then, I'm getting ready to go to Oklahoma, and feeling overwhelmed, not prepared at all. No idea where the place is that I'm driving to... much less how to get there, and I walk in to work and what do I see on the "give away" table but a map of Oklahoma!

So.
That's my story for today. What's yours?
