Interesting, isn't it?

After I saw this, I started wondering how many different ways can I think of to say thank you to the person I say thank you to least often (in my case, that would be me). How about you guys? How many different ways can you think of to express gratitude to the person you are least often grateful for?

Ok, this is a hard one. Not hard to think of the answers to, but hard to do.

Ways I can express gratitude to the person I am least often grateful for (that would be me)...

I could take better care of Shirley, I could fix her dinner, and make her bed, I could clean her house, and smile at her in the mirror. I could tell her how great she is and how proud I am of her. I could keep her out of situations that cause her anxiety.

And this gets me thinking about all the other people that I do "say" thank you to... and what other ways are there that I could use to "express" and "show" my gratefulness for them and for their presence in my life.

WOW.

Okay after thinking about this I realized I, myself, was also the person I needed most to say thank you to but never do. But the good news is I have been working on this with out even realizing it for a couple of weeks. I have been doing this by taking one day, Sunday and doing things that I want to do. I have been finding a wealth of free things to do here where I live.

I agree with Shirley and Daniel - I'm the one who I don't thank, also. I am going to start thanking myself by eating better, trying to take better care of myself physically and emotionally. I will try to smile more, write more, meditate more and in general, be nicer to myself! And I will continue to lead myself down my spiritual path!
