The Oculatum - Project Overview

Monday, November 30, 2009

“Do no thing
by half
Best done
than ill tried.”

~ The Oculatum

Here is an overview of our project on The Oculatum. This post provides links to pertinent aspects of this project for those of you who are interested in exploring it.

If you are curious about this particular project, you can read The Oculatum - A Brief History. If you are curious about the results that we experienced, you can read our feedback and various thoughts at And Today We Rest and Wrapping Things Up. As you can see there wasn't a lot of feedback for this project. And if you'd like to give it a try, here are The Suggested Instructions.

This project was jam packed with lots of great little sayings, so many, that I made an "Ask The Oculatum" widget. You can find it at the bottom of the page. It's pretty cool. I use it when I need a new thought, or an idea for the day. If you want to buy The Oculatum, it's available at amazon, here's the link.
If you would like to try this project for yourself, you can start on Day One - Every voyage and then continue on through reading and working with each post in order. Or, you can explore the individual posts at random by using the widget at the bottom of the page. It might be interesting also, to find one saying that really resonates with you, and focus on it for the next 30 days. How you work the project is up to you. There is a complete listing of the day by day links at the bottom of this post.

This is an active blog, and if you post, we will notice and reply.. and give you the benefit of our own experience and our support if it seems pertinent or appropriate. Feel free to post your thoughts, ideas, results, joys and disappointments as you go. Even though we love you, comment spam is deleted when discovered, and we've had so much of it lately that I enabled comment verification. Anonymous posting is discouraged, however, if you have problems with the comment box, feel free to use that option.

We do have a recommended reading list if you are interested in expanding your understanding. I don't know how up to date it is, but there are a lot of really good books listed. Feel free to add titles and authors that you would recommend. We do have quite a collection of quotes, and if you want to, you can visit Way Cool Quotes and find a bunch more.

As promised, here is the complete listing of all the posts for our "The Oculatum" project:
The quotes start here, and every seventh day - we rest. Those posts are listed as well.

Happy new Year! I'm very excited about this project! As it turns out, today is the day that I am going to take out my last year's plans, and review them, to see what was accomplished, and what wasn't and what happened that i missed the mark in getting those things accomplished. Then I will put together a new list for this year.

What excites me about this project is in taking what i'm putting together today, and then working it through the process with the Fellowship here, to hone it in, based on the things you've outlined in the project overview, and in taking these ideas and applying them to what i come up with today, to validate them, and to sharpen them up!!

Let's get going! See you tomorrow.

Cheers and best wishes for a prosperous and adventuresome 2010.

And thank you for your diligent efforts in sharing with everyone all the hard work, and dedication that you provide us all.

    Much love,

    Mark

Thanks Mark! And welcome. I love your idea of taking out last years plans... and reviewing them. Too bad I didn't write any of them down! I just sort of kept them in my head in a nebulous way. I think I'll write them down right now!

    Thanks again!
It's great to see you here!
