"In every generation there is a chosen one.
She alone will stand against the vampires, the demons and the forces of darkness.
She is the Slayer."

Buffy Summers knows this tale by heart, and no matter how hard she tries to be just a "normal girl", she can not escape from her destiny. Thankfully, she is not alone in her quest to save the world, as she has the help of her friends, the hilarious (and surprisingly quite effective) evil-fighting team called "The Scooby Gang". Together, Buffy and company will slay their demons, survive one apocalypse after another, attend high school and college, and above all, understand that growing up can truly be Hell... sometimes literally.

So what does that have to do with us?

Well, I was thinking. What if I wrote something similar about me? What if you wrote something similar about you? What would it say? And it occured to me that something like this might be helpful. We might learn something about ourselves, something important.

So I made it into a kind of a fill in the blanks template. I wondered what we might come up with if we played around with it... and would it be something that might "work" or be helpful in some way. How about it guys, wanna give it a go?

"In every GREAT STORM OF LIFE there is a BEAUTIFUL RAINBOW OF SPIRIT WITHIN. IT alone will MERGE WITH the HEART, the SOUL and the MIND. KARLA knows this tale by heart, and no matter how hard she tries to be just an UNPARTICIPATING OBSERVER UNDER AN UMBRELLA, she cannot escape from her destiny. Thankfully, she is not alone in her quest to UNDERSTAND, as she has the help of her friends, the SPIRITUALLY BRILLIANT (and surprisingly quite NORMAL) team called "THE PROSPERITY PROJECT GANG". Together, KARLA and company will RIDE THAT RAINBOW, survive one POWERFUL STORM after another, attend EACH DAILY CLASS ONLINE and DO SHIRLEY'S OFTEN BIZARRE HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS, and above all, understand that FRIENDSHIP can truly be TRANSFORMATIONAL... sometimes literally.

TAKE THAT BUFFY! We fight the good fight daily here on Prosperity Project!

"In every home there is a Mother. She alone will work with the children, the household, and the dirt of life. Mother knows this tale by heart, and no matter how hard she tries to be just a woman, she cannot escape from her destiny. Thankfully, she is not alone in her quest to get through each day, as she has the help of her friends, the hardworking (and surprisingly quite quiet) cleaning utensil team called "The Cleaners". Together, Mother and company will parent, survive one mess after another, attend school musicals and trash day, and above all, understand that life can truly be a big mess... sometimes literally.

Love the stories so far. But am having a very hard time coming up with my own words for the blanks. Not sure why this is. I'll try to come up with something.

Love it Michelle! It's been raining and I have the muddy paw prints of 8 pets across my floor, counter, couch. Yikes! Your post really spoke to me this morning!

"In every family there is a sleeper. (he) alone will struggle against the rules, the roles, and the routines. Gary knows this tale by heart, and no matter how hard (he) tries to be just asleep, (he) cannot escape from (his) destiny. Thankfully, (he) is not alone in (his) quest to wake up, as he has the help of his friends, the eccentric (and surprisingly quite literate) home team called "Bad Company". Together, Gary and company will strive and grow, survive one disaster after another, (go to) movies, the crossroads, and michigan, and above all, understand that love can truly be the end ... sometimes literally.
