From Humor Matters here are some alternative affirmations for the new year.
"At the end of one year and the start of another, many of us will renew our commitment to living with daily affirmations. I know the power of affirming my truth, over and over, everyday! While these may not suit every one's taste, here are some "possible" affirmations to consider!"
So sorry to do this, but this project has been moved and can be found in its new home Random Acts of Kindness at the new and improved Prosperity Project hosted at shirleytwofeathers.com.
Bright blessings. I hope to see you there!

“We all not only could know everything. We do. We just tell ourselves we
don't to make it all bearable.”

It might be fun to post our New Years Resolutions here.
And so, to get that started - my new years resolution is that I will not turn my computer on all day. Instead I will focus on cleaning my house, and taking care of me.
And my New Years Resolutions are as follows:
1. I am going to detox my body by eating right and getting enough rest.
2. I will detox my mind by spending time in silence, and in meditation
3. Periodically I will turn the computer off and leave it off for an entire 24 hour period.
4. Sometimes I will commit random acts of kindness.
5. This week I will sit down with myself and decide what part I want to play - what character I want to portray - in this epic fantasy adventure we call "Life on Earth"
6. By the end of this year I want to be working at a job I enjoy instead of at a job I detest and find excruciatingly boring.
That sounds like just about enough.. and probably is too much.. but I always over do.. so.. it's in character.. and therefore OK.
Number 16 is funny! Happy New Year everybody! I think having realistic but funny goals are a good idea. I will write a new years resolution eventually!
