That Loving Feeling

Several years ago, I learned a great technique for applying love energy to just about anything. Once you get the hang of it, you don't have to do it as a meditation, you will be able to do it any where, any time.

Here's how it works:

Sit quietly, and think about someone or something you love. It doesn't matter what it is. Could be your child, your spouse, your pet... or it could be chocolate, a certain piece of music, a special or favorite place... anything. As you think about this thing that you love, notice how your body feels.

You might feel a warmth or an expansion in your heart, your muscles might relax, you might find a smile playing on your mouth... notice what happens when you think about what (or who) you love. Now, allow that feeling to expand to include your whole body... allow it to expand to include you. Once you have accomplished that, allow it to continue to expand to include your home, your neighborhood, your family, etc.

It feels good doesn't it? This is a great way to start the day, and a good way to put it to rest as well. I think that I'm going to use it as my daily meditation for the duration of our project.

Last night during my meditation time I used some phrasing that had come to me earlier in the evening. I said something like " Oh Father/Mother God I am sorry for not accepting the gifts you tried to give me....I am sorry and I love you. I am sorry for not accepting and understanding the gifts of prosperity and abundance that you have tried to give me....I am sorry and I love you. Well you can see where this was going. It felt really good after to acknowledge this and to release it. Just thought I would share.

Funny thing happened to me. When I pictured a person in my mind and said I was sorry, pls. forgive me, thank you and I love you, another person I knew would appear in my mind, then another and another. I couldn't even remeber anything negative relating to some of the people I saw but kept repeating the process. Then if I felt a pain in my body, I did the same and another would pop up while the first one disapated. Pretty amazing, I felt good when I was done. Going to do this daily until I see know more people and feel no more pains. Couldn't hurt, might help!

Ok guys... you've got me convinced. I'm going to go do the same thing and see what happens... Up till now, I've mostly been apologising to the mess in my house... looking at the kitchen sink and saying "I love you and I'm sorry"... looking at the clutter in my office and saying "I love you and I'm sorry"... It's time to start applying this technique to actual living people... myself included.
