Thanks but no thanks!

Sometimes it's helpful to say thank you for what's NOT in your life.
How many can you list?

This sounds fun!

I am so thankful that I don't have:

giant waterbugs in my bathtub
snakes in the closet
rats under the sink
spinal meningitis
all my relatives living in my house
a porcupine for a pet
broken legs
Mike Janner for a husband
raw sewage in my basement
broken glasses

There's a lot more, but I'll stop now! Geez that was fun!

I am thankful I don't own that cat. I am thankful that I don't look like Quasimodo even though some days I feel like him. I am thankful that I am not a member of mgmt at my place of employment.

Before I start my list I have to comment on the cat in the picture and the "thanks but no thanks headline", which both made me laugh out loud!! Shari and I were cleaning out the closet in the spare bedroom tonight and one of my "fat cats" decided it would be really fun to get into the closet and look around. The problem with that is that there were huge piles of "stuff" all over the floor - items of clothing, picture albums, boxes, etc. He started over the mountain of stuff and sort of got "stuck" so my daughter went to pick him up and help him over it. When she picked him up, she almost dropped him on his head, but one of his hind claws caught onto her shirt and she and the cat were both sort of in "suspended animation" - with her holding his body while his claw was stuck and he was dangling headfirst not too far from the floor. I was laughing so hard I had trouble helping them! I managed to get his claw out of her shirt and she managed to put him down without dropping him on his head (I must add that the adage that a cat always lands on his feet is NOT true!!) If you look at the cat in the picture, but picture a solid black cat with that same expression, only face down and upside down, that's a pretty accurate picture! And I'm sure that what the cat was thinking after being "helped" over the mountain was certainly 'THANKS BUT NO THANKS!!"

I am thankful that the following things are NOT in my life:

1. Illness.
2. Homelessness.
3. Starvation.
4. Being married to or dating a jerk. (I would rather be single ANY day!!)

I am thankful that I don't have to walk to work everyday, in the snow, barefoot, uphill both ways!
