Hot Chocolate and Ho'oponopono

Thursday, February 28, 2008

"Drinking hot chocolate releases error memories in the subconscious that put gain first as opposed to doing something because it is divinely correct to do. Drinking hot chocolate releases error memories that cause violence in relationships, smoothing things out so that relationships are not about gain but about love…."

— Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len

Okay so this morning, which is Friday morning, I found my self saying something like this. blank, I am sorry. I am sorry for the picture I hold of you in my mind that is untrue, negative, destructive or liminting. I release this picture of you and embrace one that is true. That you, blank, are a child of God, whole and perfect in every way, unlimited in potential, at one with life and love. Please Forgive me for I do truely love you.
I found myself even doing this to myself. As names, place etc... came to mind I just kinda went with the flow. Asked for forgiveness for the wrong picture, embraced one that was true and said I Love You. It felt really good.

I like the idea of drinking hot chocolate as a spiritual practice! I love that idea in fact. And I'm sorry that I don't have any!

I don't see any logical or spiritual connection between drinking hot chocolate and spiritual gain. I mean, it tastes great and warms the tummy, but so does coffee, and a good green tea! What is this about? It sounds "affected" to me. Just because Dr. Ihaleakala said it, doesn't make it so. Does anyone have any more info on this to help explain?

By the way, gay bookworm, I love the exercise you did Friday morning and think it must have been very therapeutic! I'm going to try it myself today! You know how much I love you. Please forgive me. Thank you. Big hugs!

Dawn, this is a really good question ... I liked the idea that hot chocolate could be actually be good for me on a spiritual level, so I didn't go any further with researching than that. I'll see if I can dig anything up about why he might have said that. It's highly possible that what he said was taken out of context.

I do know that according to Ayurveda, hot milk and sugar are both good for stress release. And not sugar in excess... not sugar the way we (I) eat it, but taken in "medicinal" quantities... I personally think sugar is a drug, so it's possible that it is good for some things.. just as aspirin is good for some things. Chocolate too has lots of good stuff in it...

So, I'll see if I can research that quote and if I come up with something illuminating, I'll let you know.

Hey everyone don't know if anyone will see this but did a little online search about chocolate drinking. The ancient maya and aztecs drank it in huge quantities. Montezuma supposedly drank 50 cups a day. They gave it all kinds of magical properities, one of which was as an aid for sexual acitivity. But they made it from the pure bean itself, mashed and ground it, added water and any number of other additives like vanilla or chili peppers. It was a gift of the gods, especially the goddess of fertility.
