Today is Friday. TGIF! So, I thought it would be fun to think of at least 5 things that are good about Friday, and then extend that thinking through the rest of the day to see just how many things we can come up with about how cool it is that today is Friday.
On a side note: In astrology Friday is connected with the planet Venus. This associates Friday with love, peace, and relaxation, as well as with emotional intensity and quashed dreams.

1. I love the expectant air about Friday. There is something about waking up and knowing exciting things are coming!
2. It's always busy at work on Fridays. Attorneys have a "thing" about filing things and sending important letters before the weekend. This makes the day go by quickly.
3. Sometimes the traffic is lighter on Friday mornings.
4. There is a big "ahhhhh" when driving home after work on Friday evenings. Even if the traffic is bad, there is a "not in a hurry" feeling.
5. If I stay up late watching a movie, it won;t hurt me the next day!
For me, Friday usually means more work and that means more money. So that's a good thing.
It also means I just have one more day of work (Saturday), and that I made it through most of my week just fine.
I used to love Fridays, years ago, when the kids were little because we had a great ritual of renting movies and buying pizza and staying up late.
That good feeling about Friday still lingers on even though I can't eat pizza anymore, the movie rentals and staying up late are on Saturdays, and the kids are grown and gone.
So... that's the best I can do in the moment. Anyone else got something?
I love Fridays because my husband and I get paid on alternate Fridays, so every Friday is a payday! Fridays in the summer are great because we can wear jeans to work. When Friday rolls around, I know I've made it thru another week and can take a breath! Friday is my big push to get as much work done as possible before the weekend, and at the end of the day I know I accomplished a lot, which is a great feeling. Fridays are when they usually schedule our big monthly departmental staff meetings, which are really interesting and it's a nice break from the normal routine.
