From the Daily Om, comes this gem:
You Are Who You Are,
Not What You Do
Not What You Do
It's from an article about "Becoming Your Wrong Decisions," And talks about how "there are no true right or wrong decisions. All decisions contribute to your development and are an integral part of your evolving existence yet they are still separate from the self. A decision that does not result in its intended outcome is in no way an illustration of character. Still, it can have dire effects on our ability to trust ourselves and our self-esteem.
A perceived mistake becomes a valuable learning experience and is, in essence, a gift to learn and grow from."
For today's focus, lets make a list (short or long) of the labels we apply to ourselves. A series of "I am" statements. Once you've got the list made, go back over it and find every negative statement and rewrite it in a positive way. Now ask yourself, "Who am I really?" And if you come up with that answer ... WOW!

I AM short on time and unable to write my comments lately on Prosperity Project! While this could be seen as a horribly sad thing..I look at is as..I AM FULL OF LIFE. Lots going on..never a dull moment. I could never be bored! I AM blessed and I know it! So therefore I AM grateful!
Thanks Shirley and I am certainly participating in my head every day! Some very thought provoking challenges!
Hi Karla, I'm glad your life is so full of life!
So, I did actually do this one, and here's what I came up with:
I am intelligent.
I am a mother.
I am a grandmother.
I am a daughter.
I am tired of being tired. (Here's the rewrite: I am ready to take better care of myself.)
I am looking for answers to important questions.
I am a failure at life. (Here's the rewrite: I am learning something important about success and failure.)
I am too old to do the things I really want to do. (Here's the rewrite: I have a lot of life experience.)
I am broke. (I am not broken, I am just exploring life on the edge.)
I am a pathetic looser. (I am figuring out how to keep my power, and my self-respect, and how to be at peace regardless of the circumstances."
I am needed by a few people.
I am a little bit nutty... ok... a lot nutty. (I am unique.)
I am tired. (It's time to go to bed.)
I am full of ideas.
I am clueless about so many things. (I have lots of cool and interesting learning experiences coming my way.)
I am a dog bather.
I am an artist.
I am a good reader.
Who am I really?
I am ...
