Our Next Project

Saturday, August 15, 2009

Hello everyone,

My dad passed away this week, and I'm right now on my way to Texas for the funeral. Our next project will be on goal setting, so begin to think about whatever it is that you'd like to actually accomplish. I'll be back towards the end of the week, and a week from Sunday I expect to start that project.

If any of you have thoughts, ideas or suggestions - I'd love to hear them.

In the mean time, please send thoughts of love to my little car. It's a really long drive ... And thoughts of love to my mom - they were married for 60 years!!

Love to you all.

What are you worth? - Project Overview

“When your self-worth goes up,
your net worth goes up with it.”

~ Mark Victor Hansen

Here is an overview of our project on What Are You Worth?. This post provides links to pertinent aspects of this project for those of you who are interested in exploring it.

If you are curious about the results that we experienced, you can read our feedback and various thoughts here: Well?

If you are curious as to why we chose this particular project, you can read Our Next Project. Not sure if you need to work on your self worth? You can take a look at the Self Worth Wake Up Call.

This project was jam packed with lots of good information, here are a few quick links you might find useful:

If you would like to try this project for yourself, you can start on Day One - What are you worth? and then continue on through reading and working on each post in order. Or, you can explore the individual posts at random. It might be interesting also, to find one or two posts that really resonate with you, and focus on them for the next 30 days. How you work the project is up to you. There is a complete listing of the day by day links at the bottom of this post.

This is an active blog, and if you post, we will notice and reply.. and give you the benefit of our own experience and our support if it seems pertinent or appropriate. Feel free to post your thoughts, ideas, results, joys and disappointments as you go. Even though we love you, comment spam is deleted when discovered. Anonymous posting is discouraged, however, if you have problems with the comment box, feel free to use that option.

We do have a recommended reading list if you are interested in expanding your understanding. I don't know how up to date it is, but there are a lot of really good books listed. Feel free to add titles and authors that you would recommend. We do have quite a collection of quotes, and if you want to, you can visit Way Cool Quotes and find a bunch more.

As promised, here is the complete listing of all the posts for our "What Are You Worth?" project:

Odds and Ends

Friday, August 07, 2009

I'm still trying to get all my ducks in a row, wrapping up this last project and getting ready for the next one.

In the mean time, here's something that Melissa (one of our regular readers) shared with me via email. If you do a lot of online shopping, it might be a money saver, especially during the Christmas.

Hi everyone,

I found some more great sites where you can get cash back for purchases you already make online, and wanted to pass them along!

The next time you go online to make a purchase, check out a couple of these sites first and find the one that offers the highest rebate. At each site, you register and then click thru to the store where you want to shop. When you make a purchase, the rebate site tracks your spending and cuts you a check after a certain amount has accumulated in your account.

(Aisle 19, thru
JohnsonAdventures, will send me a commission in addition to sending you your rebate check. I am just a regular customer at the other sites and just wanted to share them with you in the interests of all of us saving money!)

Here's a comparison I made just today:

These are just some examples I found today.

If you want to save money, sign up with each of these sites and remember to go there before you make an online purchase! Literally hundreds of stores are listed at each site - they want the online customers!

If you need an invitation to join Aisle 19, please let me know and I'll be happy to send you one.

Melissa Johnson
